Stoic Practice is a succinct interpretation of five stoic texts. Rather than acting as a direct translation, this book developed from daily practices. Created in the spirit of a journal, these lessons are for consistent study and practice. Stoic texts aren’t only meant to be read. This is a philosophy of action.

turn inward

When a trouble arises, turn inward to learn about your strengths and weaknesses. Find the appropriate inner resources to deal with your difficulties.

When you encounter an angry person who spews vitriol at you, patience is what you will need. When a desire tugs at you, such as when you see an attractive person, self- restraint is what you will need.

You are always tested. You must not react in a reckless way. Turn inward and then act from your inner qualities, eventually building them into habits. Overtime, you will become resilient to challenges.
